Konichiwa!

Like this beauty? Well, guess what? THIS IS OUR NEW HOUSE!!! Mr. Top Gun and I found it yesterday, and by the grace of god we were able to get an amazing deal on it!! It is a four story, four bedroom, two and a half bath home with 1800 square feet. It has an american fridge, washer and an american style kitchen and oven. It is right on the Seawall, so we get to see the ocean everyday!! I just got these shots from the website, but when we move in on Thursday, I will take pictures of the individual rooms and bathrooms. The house is done in reds and other really gorgeous colors, the floors and stairs are all wood, and each room has a HUGE american style ceiling fan and A/C units. We are so blessed to have found our Japanese dream home!

Guess what? We made it! Mr. Top Gun and I arrived on the gorgeous island of Okinawa, Japan late (really late) last night. With the time difference of almost a whole day, my body has been fighting me with every ounce of strength it has left! We have a really comfy TLF room and superb people from Mr. Top Gun's new squadron. They have been picking us up and driving us around until we get our Japanese driver's licences on Wednesday. Tomorrow at O dark thirty (SUPER EARLY) we have our housing brief and then we get to go find our home!!!
On the crap side... We get in last night and Mr. Top Gun is told that... HE IS DEPLOYING IN A FEW MONTHS. WHAT!?!? Great, I knew this would happen. Oh well, I am going to come back home in about three months and stay through the Holidays- I am NOT spending Christmas ALONE in Japan! I have so many pictures and a huge post about the 13 hour plus trip across the pond, but the wi-fi in TLF is kinda slow, so hopefully I can get out of here soon and share my experiences with you! Oh, and Lala... I did arrive in Japan in style! Would I have done it any other way?

Hugs to all of my blog buddies! Thank you so very much for all your positive words of encouragement and support! Being 6,000 miles away from home is a shock, but the Japanese are the most polite and soft spoken people, a far cry away from this LOUD MOUTHED TEXAS GIRL!!!

I'm signing off for just a little bit

Mr. Top Gun and I are going to the other side of the pond soon, so this is my last post for a few days! I am still a mess, still crying, throwing up and not able to eat... We had dinner tonight with my family and Mr. Top Gun's parents, and I took a few bites of food and that was it. The parking lot of the restaurant looked like patients from a mental hospital had escaped and were crying, yelling, crying some more and me balling like a child! I lost it when my brother hugged me and he was shaking and crying with me. So, we were the nuts of the world today, and now I am off to try to get a few hours of sleep before the dreaded taxi ride to the airport... Oh, and all of our family are going to be here at the crack of dawn to see us off. Nice, more freakin' crying!!

I'll post soon again!!

3-2-1- Emotional breakdown begins

I'm a boring and dull blogger today. I got my nails done (finally) for the LAST time here, and cried when I hugged my manicurist and paid the bill. I then managed to drive home, cry my eyes out some more and change to meet Mr. Top Gun at my parents house to help him set up the webcam and Skype for them. I also officially handed over the keys to my Acura TSX to my Daddy, with tears in my eyes I drove into the garage and as soon as I got out of the car he runs over to me and proceeds to hug me and begins sobbing like a baby into my arms... The last time I saw my dad cry like this was when he found out his Grandpa had been killed in a concentration camp- that was over 12 years ago. In between all of my crying I managed to get a few laughs in, and even a smile or two! Hey, I am working really, really hard on trying to protect my heart and at the same time allow it to hurt.
I basically was a sobbing mess all day today and I did something I NEVER DO... after realizing that my eyes had swelled up and become red and evil looking from crying, I came home this afternoon and washed my face. Yes, I washed it and went OUT IN PUBLIC SANS MAKE-UP!!! Although, I did manage to hide my yuckiness with a nice hat and my HUGE Chanel shades. Hey, this Texas girl was raised to always look her best, and even though my best wasn't going to happen this evening, I still made the effort. Chanel shades and the right lipgloss work wonders! Mr. Top Gun feels horrible right now, and told me he hates knowing that he is the one taking me away from my family and moving me across the world for the next few years. I don't like to hear him say this, and I told him I knew what I was getting into when I met him and married him but right now I am not a huge fan of the Air Force. And you know what? that's okay! I wasn't a fan of it when my dad moved us to Germany and all around the states when I was growing up, but I can look back on those times now and I appreciate being able to have traveled all over the world with my family. Now, I just have to do it all over again- but as a grown up.

P.S. Moving sucks.

Mr. Top Gun goes to Victoria's Secret with me...

Yeah! I got one of these cute little PINK dogs with my purchases today. The blue one is the one I picked out. Little things like this make me happy, and I need happy right now!
The super cute and super comfy hoodie Mr. Top Gun bought me. He looked at it and said: "Oh, so VS is recycling dogs now, or are they advocating it?" Silly, silly Mr. Top Gun! I wanted some pants to go with it, but couldn't find any without glitter or rhinestones. When I went to pick up a pair with some rhinestones on the rear of the pants, good ol' Mr. Top Gun had this to say to me: "Please don't get those. In fact, I am telling you NOT to even think of buying them and wearing them on the plane." WHY NOT, I ASK? "Because, I don't find it appropriate for my wife to get off the plane and have our sponsor see rhinestones on your butt. That would be a horrible first impression for you and me." Ok. Got ya. I wasn't going to get them anyways!

Today, Mr. Top Gun treated me to a shopping spree at Victoria's Secret. This may have been a good idea when he mentioned that I should stock up on my bras, thongs, and other PINK related items before our move to Japan- but, I'm not so sure he expected me to spend so much time or money in the store today! First, let me begin by saying this: Mrs. Top Gun has a chest that she bought with her own money as a college graduation gift 5 years ago. YES, I said it- My "assets" were created by one of the finest Plastic Surgeons in Texas, and they are the best darn investment I have ever made. Feel free to judge me, although I hope you don't- I actually had what is referred to as micro mastia, which means that your breast tissue NEVER shows up, and mine didn't!

So, after waiting for eons I took the plunge and got my girls done when I was 22. I paid for them in cash on the day prior to my surgery and guess what else makes this funny? My Dad was the only person available to take me to the hospital, since Mom was away with my brother on a JROTC trip at the time. Yep, my Dad was the first person to 'see' them under the bandages and layers of bras I was wrapped in!
Turns out that he also made a friend for life with my PS, who is a retired AF Flight Surgeon! The two of them were jabbering away about their careers as I lie in a Versed induced drug haze. Gotta love my Dad! Now, back to Mr. Top Gun and his day with me at VS. I went there with the intentions of purchasing a bra or two and some undies, but that NEVER happens to me. So, as I sprint back and forth between the store I notice that Mr. Top Gun is RIGHT NEXT to me with every step I take! How cute :) I asked him if he would be more comfortable waiting outside and perhaps sitting on a bench? He replies with this: "Nope. I'm fine with you, and I'll stay."
"Can I watch you try on the bras?" HAHAHA! There's my Mr. Top Gun speaking! After a good hour and a half of deciding upon which bras, undies, and other goodies I needed we head to the register and Mr. Top Gun sets my HUGE tote bag on the counter and pulls out his wallet. $200 later, I leave with my VS bag in hand and enough bras and such to last me awhile. I love my Husband. He is the best! After that, we headed home to clean up for our dinner with my Nana and Grandpa. We all ate at Macaroni Grill and had a wonderful time together. I can't believe I am leaving the U.S. in a few days! My heart is still so very heavy and filled with pain. Mr. Top Gun's parents are in town tomorrow, and we have our last few days here filled with more family dinners and fun!

Not me Monday!

Today, I did not do any of these things:

*I did NOT argue with Sprint for an hour until they realized what PCS orders look like.
*I did NOT tell Mr. Top Gun to shut up (sorry, I love you.)
*I did NOT get in my car and storm out of the house in an angry, messy, fury...
*I did NOT get on the highway and let my lead foot out...
*I did NOT almost get pulled over by a State Trooper who was hiding in the bushes...
*I did NOT sustain myself all day long on only water.
*I did NOT break down in a ball of tears after visiting the grave site of one of my old HS student who passed away 3 years ago. I miss him so very much.
*I did NOT give a person the "Howdy, and welcome to Texas hello" in the parking lot...
*I did NOT throw a fit after hearing that some of the houses we have been looking at in Japan all of a sudden became 'occupied...'
*I did NOT spend copious amounts of Mr. Top Gun's money buying make-up today...

*And last I checked, I did NOT lose my mind... It's here somewhere, where are you?
Now, I am off to make dinner: Chicken fried steak, cream gravy, mashed potatoes and Mexican corn casserole :)

Craziness Anyone?

This is Sadie Anne, my Australian Shepherd-Border Collie mix. I adopted her 8 years ago from a local shelter when I first started college, and she has managed to become one of the great loves of my life since then and has seen me through many nights of studying until the crack of dawn. She has also seen my tears when times got crappy, but was always there with a kiss and a doggie snuggle for me. I have to leave her behind. She is staying with my parents and their menagerie of dogs, which she loves so it makes my heart feel a little less heavy.

This is Zeus Baron, my Russian Blue. He wandered into my apartment a few years ago while I was living the single life and before Mr. Top Gun came into my life. I had no idea he was a purebred Russian Blue until I took him to the vet the day after he decided to live with me. He has been my companion for some of my toughest times in life, and I have to leave him behind too, but he is staying with my Nana and Grandpa and that makes my heart feel better. Grandpa LOVES Zeus Baron so much, and I know he is going to be well taken care of and loved while I'm gone.

Tonight Mr. Top Gun and I had a delicious home cooked Mexican dinner at my parents house, and now I am in another food coma. First, let me explain something to my lovelies: This little Mexican girl comes from a family that does not comprehend how NOT to cook for an Army, so that means at any family dinner we are greeted by huge amounts of food. Tonight, we had: Cheese enchiladas, Spanish rice, borracho beans, homemade crispy beef tacos, homemade guacamole, tortillas, fresh picante sauce and a devilishly sinful ice cream cake my Dad made! He also made a delicious dessert (on his own) which consisted of freshly baked German pound cake, nutella, and fresh strawberries. He took the pound cake and sliced it into squares, then spread the nutella on both halves and put the strawberries in between the slices... wow... YUM!!

I would have taken photos for all to see, but there came a downside to this food feast this evening... Apparently, my head did not get the message that I was looking forward to partaking in another feast of delicious food and thus decided to give me a MIGRAINE FROM HELL. Somehow I was able to calm the nausea with my meds and eat dinner, but then about an hour after eating? Yeah, you guessed it- all of my food decided to 'exit' my stomach. Poor Mr. Top Gun was running up the flights of stairs in my parents house to get to me in the bathroom, and as I was puking I could hear him calling for me, trying to figure out which bathroom I was in! My parents have tons of bathrooms in the upstairs, and all I could do was try to yell out to him in between my 'meeting with the toilet.' This darn move has got me so stressed out that my body is reacting with the migraines and nausea, and I am really trying to keep it together- but I feel myself slowly losing this battle. I am not looking forward to the end of the week... this is when we leave Texas and my family, and my fur babies. I can't do this, but I know I have to and it just sucks!

I have a laundry list of things to accomplish tomorrow and I am hoping to get them ALL done. Mr. Top Gun has Air Force stuff to do, which leaves me alone when I need him with me the most- when I go to cancel my cellphone plan with Sprint. Now, I've heard nightmares about them being very unfriendly to the Military, and if that is the case tomorrow guess what? It will take me about 10 minutes to go to JAG and ask for a letter. They get involved and Sprint shuts up. Although I'm hoping it doesn't come down to that... Anyways, here is my list:

*Deal with Sprint
*Get nails done for the last time :(
*Get make-up from the BX
*Get my car washed and detailed for my Dad (I want to give him a clean Acura.)
*Get more make-up from CVS and Walgreen's
*Go by the mall and stock up on VS undies and bras
*Buy new slippers
*Buy new Ipod headphones
*Pack suitcases... more...
*Attempt to eat lunch in between this madness

As much as I don't want to leave home, I kinda just want and need this trip to be over with already. Just get me on the plane for 14 hours and give me 2 Dramamines and leave me alone. I did this as a kid moving to Germany, now I just have to do it all over again as an adult and you know what? It still sucks and makes my heart hurt like the dickens. Ok, off to bed now.

A night at the Churrascaria

Is it possible to be in a meat coma? Well, I think it is because that it exactly how the Top Gun's currently feel after eating at the most delicious Brazilian Churrascaria tonight. Mr. Top Gun and I joined my parents for an evening of food, wine, fun, and MEAT. Lots and lots of delicious and juicy meats! If you have never been to a Churrascaria, I highly recommend you go to one- it's well worth the price tag and the service is phenomenal. I literally took a sip of my iced tea, and a few seconds later the waiter was filling my glass up again. Now, that is service! We had neat little cards that we could turn over to say: "More meat please," or "No more meat, thank you." Our cards pretty much stayed on the more please side (green side) for the entire meal. They offered over 12 different types of meat, and I ate every selection except for the lamb and the sausages. Mrs. Top Gun doesn't eat lamb- at all... yuck!
Mr. Top Gun enjoyed all 12 selections of meat, and he also polished off a 6 layer chocolate cake (with a little help from my Dad.) I had a bite of the cake, but couldn't stomach anymore to eat after stuffing myself full of sirloin and filet mignon. My Dad enjoyed the salad bar along with us, and helped himself to a Mexican Coffee for dessert- the coffee had Patron tequila in it and packed a nice punch! Below are some pictures from our night out.

Date night with Mr. Top Gun

Yeah, that's right. Mr. Top Gun and I went to see Bruno tonight for our date night. Feel free to judge me if you please, but you know what? This movie was freakin' HILARIOUS! Highly inappropriate for young children, heck even for my parents, and probably for most people. Let me just say this: If you are offended at all by nudity, homosexuality, crude jokes, sex toys, and full on images of a mans nether regions, then this is NOT a movie for you to see. I loved Borat, loved the Ali G show and am a fan of Sascha Baron Cohen in general. Besides, the fact that his character Bruno is a gay Austrian fashion model made the movie even funnier for me! It was subtitled in most parts, and I was highly impressed with his German speaking skills. Hey, I speak German fluently and could close my eyes and understand what he was saying throughout the movie. Mr. Top Gun laughed so hard he was crying, and I did the same! Too bad my Dad couldn't join us, but he was dog sitting my brother's dog Brutus this evening.

So, if you liked Borat and Ali G, and aren't afraid to see some rather crude humor, then you totally need to see this movie! It certainly isn't for everyone though. Tomorrow Mr. Top Gun and I are having dinner at a Brazilian Steak House with my parents!! YUm!!!

Thirsty Thursday with Mr. Top Gun!

This Thirsty Thursday, Mr. Top Gun wanted to give me his personal take on what he thought should be the drink of the week. So, for the first time ever, Mr. Top Gun presents his Thirsty Thursday drink: Johnny Walker Blue Label Scotch. On the rocks, with two cubes of perfectly squared ice *only 2 cubes, he says*

Mr. Top Gun's Perfect Scotch "Recipe"

*Find the perfect glass, put the ice cubes in it and pour the scotch over it. Drink it. SLOWLY. SAVOUR IT. ENJOY IT.
Cheers!
Mr. Top Gun.
Now, you didn't think I was going to let Mr. Top Gun take all control over my famous Thirsty Thursday did ya? Besides, I think scotch tastes like paint thinner and I would never, ever leave my lovelies hanging without my delicious drink recipe. This week, I decided to choose a favorite that I grew up on- and no, it has no alcohol. I'm sure you could add some vodka to it, but I prefer the delicious, fresh, and summery taste of: A Watermelon Agua Fresca. Translated, this means fruit water and it is delicious! You can use any fruit you like in the recipe.

Mrs. Top Gun's Watermelon Agua Fresca:

*4 cups of seedless watermelon (or cantaloupe or honeydew melon)
* 1/4 cup of sugar
*Watermelon slices to garnish
* 2 cups of ice water
* Crushed ice

Add all ingredients to your blender, blending until nice and smooth. Pour the watermelon mixture into a wire mesh strainer, straining out any solid pieces of the fruit. Stir in your 2 cups of ice cold water, and pour over crushed ice in your favorite glass! Garnish with watermelon if desired. This recipe makes about 5 servings. Enjoy!

McDonald's in Japan

Do you want to be scared to death before getting your chicken nuggets? Well, then look no further than your local Japanese McDonald's! This creepy little baby awaits you...

I came across this advertisement for the local McDonald's in Okinawa, and all I can say is: WTF? Seriously, I understand the weird food choices such as Shaka Shaka Chicken (the chicken patty in a pouch that you shake!) and the Teriyaki burger, but this is downright scary as all hell. Mr. Top Gun happened to look over at my laptop when I pulled this image up and he said "That is scary as *hit. I'm not going to a McDonald's in Japan now." And you know what? I agree with him- kinda :) Mr. Top Gun also said he is now going to have nightmares about this baby, adding "Stupid kid." Oh, how I love you Mr. Top Gun. You never fail to make me laugh, even when I feel crappy like I do right now. More on my crappy feeling later... Feel free to start your speculations, because my family is sure a baby Top Gun is looming. I however, am not so sure... Monday is 'D day' to see what is going on with me!

Sleep? What is that?

We survived day one of moving and packing. We are alive, but completely drained and exhausted. The good news is that everything went off without a glitch yesterday! We had the most phenomenal moving crew, and they came in to our storage unit (half of our other stuff has been in storage for ever) and went to work- without me having to 'bark' orders at them, which made the move sooo much easier. However, I discovered that I have a secret addiction... I have TONS of DISHWARE!! So much that a good 1o huge boxes were filled and packed to the brim with them. Hey, in my defense I entertain a lot, and I am required to have a lot of china and dishes and fancy glassware. Besides, what woman doesn't need her Kitchen Aide Artisan mixer and all the matching red Fiesta Ware? In all, things went great! My parents stayed with us to supervise and provide some much needed comic entertainment during our long 11 hour day. My Dad and Mr. Top Gun left mid-way through to bring us all back delicious tacos from the BEST little Mexican meat market/restaurant, and we sat on the floor eating them together.
We are dead tired this morning though. Today is our last day of packing at the house, when they come for our express shipment items. As of late, we still have not received a phone call from them stating what TIME they will show up. *Ugh* I have a bad feeling about today, but I'm really trying to stay positive. Mr. Top Gun said he is so tired he feels as if he were out all night drinking, and woke up with a nasty hangover. I feel the same way, and have a lack of sleep induced headache. Isn't PCSing a joy?

Crate number one being loaded!

Mr. Top Gun rolling my Dad in on the dolley. Dad is sitting on top of our HUGE tempurpedic mattress topper, and the other guys are the movers. I think it looks like my Dad is on top of a giant jelly roll!

Scanning and Surveillance...

The light bulbs that had to be taken out from one of our lamps. Naturally, my Dad stepped in and took them. He also swiped about 10 rolls of the good packing tape. Yes, that's my Dad!

The Crates have arrived, the Crates have arrived!

Yeah for PCS! Not really though. Hopefully today goes quickly, but I'm not so sure about that. Can I go to bed yet?

Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Enchiladas, and some shenanigans

This was my absolutely delicious and sinful lunch today! They are called Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Enchiladas, and are filled with all white meat chicken and cheese, then topped with the to die for boom boom sauce. I'm glad we made the looooong drive to see family and to eat these mouth watering beauties.

BOOM BOOM SAUCE
3-4 jalapeño* peppers seeded
1 c. sour cream
1 c. cream cheese
1/2 bunch cilantro or to taste
garlic granular to taste
heavy cream to thin or thicken- as needed
Salt to taste

Preheat the broiler or grill. Place seeded whole jalapeño peppers on a baking sheet lined with foil and broil them, turning peppers often until skins are charred or blackened.
Cool peppers in brown bag 20 minutes then remove skin ñ stem. Cut up and place in blender. Place all ingredients in blender adding heavy cream in small amounts as needed for desired texture or thickness. Taste, then adjust the seasoning to your liking. .

Chill before serving or if using for on top of enchiladas, chicken or meat - place a little on top at the very last to heat through just before serving.

Note~ You can add a squeeze of lime or lemon over top when serving or have fresh cilantro chopped on top.

************** Shenanigans, anyone?*************
Alright, I admit it. My family loves to have a good time, and with my Uncle the good time always involves a beer or martini or 6 of them, and my Dad likes to join in this good ol time as well! Surprisingly enough, I didn't even have a sip of anything and I stuck to my trusty and refreshing unsweetened iced tea. Mr. Top Gun did have a Corona though- WOW! Right? My Dad had two really kick yo' butt margaritas, so it was a good thing we all ordered rather filling plates and had more than enough time to sit an enjoy conversing with one another while waiting for our table. Side note- My Aunt D. looked absolutely stunning today in one of her many custom styled wigs. Heck, if I didn't know her I would never have suspected her hair not being real. Now, to the shenanigans... We all finish up our lunches and head outside to say our goodbyes (the part which I had been dreading all day long.) My Aunt D. and I start hugging and crying, and I am ready to just fall apart on the Texas river rocks underneath my feet, when I realize I don't know where my Nana is.
I look over towards our car, my parents car and Aunt D's car and I happen to see my Nana standing waaaaaay over on the other side of the parking lot... Hmmm... perhaps she was wanting to get out of the heat, so she decided to take a little stroll by herself without letting anyone know she was leaving. Here is the deal with Nana: She is a healthy, 70 year old, fiesty, blonde haired, little tiny 4 foot 11 feet tall powerhouse- but, she is known to FALL DOWN- A LOT. As I yell out her name, I see her take a step back on the rocks and then it happens. She falls down onto the rocks and grassy area, kinda rolling on her side! Cue the crazy yelling coming from the mouths of my Mom, Aunt D, Me, Mr. Top Gun and Grandpa... "Oh my God, Nana fell!" "Shit!" Grandpa laughed at her, because he is so used to her little tumbles. It would have been fine, but my family is uber loud. I'm talking really, really loud- loud enough to make everyone around us look at Nana and us. AWESOME.
Thankfully, her fall was cushioned a bit by the grass and there happened to be some girls walking by when she fell, so they helped her right up. In the end, she was more embarrassed than anything and had a little bruise on her leg, but she is fine. I swear, the day something doesn't go wrong with my family will be the day penguins fly. We are a crazy, loud and insane bunch but we love each other, and I can't imagine not seeing them for 3 years. Thank goodness for yearly flights back to the states though! Yeah, Air Force :)

Sunday Funny

Mr. Top Gun, the family and myself are off to spend the day with my Aunt D, and have some delicious mexican food too! I am exhausted though from a night with absolutely NO sleep, therefore making me feel somewhat delirious. Oh well, that's nothing that a nice cold Corona can't fix right? Mr. Top Gun is driving anyways, and I'll probably be a ball of tears on the way home so perhaps two Coronas today?

As you may recall, I love Penguins. They are just so darn cute, and I swear one day I am going to hold one in my arms! Mr. Top Gun proposed to me at the Penguin encounter at Sea World after the park had closed, so these little guys have a very special place in my heart. I thought this picture was so funny and would make for a good Sunday laugh!

Haha! This little Penguin owned this photographer, and I love it!

Like my new header?

So, what do ya'll think about it? Take a few moments to discuss....

I think it totally rocks, and thus would like to thank my friend over at: The Undomestic Army Wife! A few weeks ago, she became a new follower of mine and I checked out her blog- being the nosey little thing that I am. Well guess what? Her blog rocks, and she offered to do a header for my blog! So, I sent some photos of us and this is her final result! I am amazed at her dedication in completing this for me, since it is summer time and she has a crazy house full of people and kiddoes coming and going! I highly suggest that you check out her blog and perhaps she'd be able to help you 'spruce' up your blog. In other news, Mr. Top Gun and I are heading up to visit my Aunt, Uncle and Cousin to say goodbye to them before we leave for Japan, and to see my Aunt D. one last time for lunch before she starts her chemo on Monday. Please keep her in your prayers during this trying time.
I am going to attempt to post on Monday and Tuesday, but if ya'll notice I am MIA for awhile it's because they come to pack us all up on Monday and finish up Tuesday! Then we shall be crashing at my Nana and Grandpas house until we leave.

Dear Human Body

Dear Human Body,

Please stop with this business of being sick. It seems that you may have forgotten my current situation of being in the middle of a HUGE ASS overseas PCS, and if this is your idea of a little game- please stop now. I do not have the time to deal with these body aches, nausea, fever, chills, sneezing and general all over crappy feeling. Do you know how difficult it is to attempt to pack a suitcase when I feel like keeling over and dying on the carpet? You have caused me TWO DAYS of being out of whack already, and a third day is not an option, understood? Also, I would like to know this: Where the hell are you white blood cells? Have you forgotten your job? Clearly, you have and I would appreciate if you would please stop being lazy and man up! I would like to return to my life and finish this PCS crap, so I can enjoy this last week with my family.

Also, I would like to ask you this: Who the hell gets a mild case of the flu in the middle of the summer?
Sincerely,
Mrs. Top Gun

PCS induced schizophrenia, and Mr. Top Gun gets his feet done...

Does PCS'ing make you crazy? It there such a thing as PCS induced schizophrenia? Well, if so- guess what? The Top Gun's have this disease, and judging by the photos shown below I think we both need to be committed. Thanks for the craziness, Air Force! I totally LOVE you right now. Where are my medicines at? Seriously, at this point I don't think our lives could possibly get any crazier or crappy, and if so then feel free to just throw ANYTHING else you may have in store my way- I'm ready, waiting, and will deal with it (in my high heels, of course.)

Anyways, the other evening Mr. Top Gun and I were watching t.v. and I asked him if I could draw on him. Yes, like give him a tattoo or two... See, Mrs. Top Gun has two tattoos and that makes me the 'naughty girl' in Mr. Top Gun's eyes. He has none, and never will, so me drawing on him with a sharpie is as close to 'getting inked' that he shall ever get. He looked at me like I was a space cadet, and then agreed to let me 'ink' him up! On his feet only though... I asked why, and he says: "No one can see my feet in my flight boots. Besides how gay would it be if I had to get a physical or something, and all of a sudden I bend over and the guys see my lower back tattoo drawn by you." First, when does a pop up flight physical occur? It's not time for him to get one, so I figured he would let me ink his lower back. Nope. Oh well, I got his feet!

See, Mr. Top Gun really does LOVE TEXAS!
I drew a star on his left foot with a silver sharpie marker. His big toe got a smiley face! I later learned that silver sharpie marker is HARD as HECK to remove, so Mr. Top Gun walked around with silly looking feet for a few days.

These photos are proof that PCS'ing does make you crazy. So, for those of you that have made the BIG MOVE (overseas or not) what crazy thing (s) did you do? I would like to hope I am not actually going insane!
