As you may recall, Mr. Top Gun was deployed for all of the holidays during 2009, and part of 2010, leaving him out of all of the celebrations last year. So, in true Top Gun Squadron fashion, the crew decided to dedicate a night solely to celebrating the missed holidays... Mr. and I began our Friday by being lazy! We slept in late, and I made us a heavy breakfast for our dinner that evening- Homemade biscuits, cream gravy and sausage, and eggs. Hey- I knew we both needed a hefty meal in our bellies to soak up the copious amount of alcohol we were soon going to be consuming!

We began our fun filled evening at the home of one of the crew members who had the pleasure of being deployed with Mr. this time around. We were greeted by the inviting smell of homemade teriyaki chicken wings, rice, chips and dips and lots and lots of alcohol... Mr. Top Gun was given a red cup filled with his new favorite drink (apparently, he developed a taste for while traveling back from his deployment) and what was the name of this famous drink, you ask? The "JackMandu!" Yes, that would be Jack Daniels mixed with Mountain Dew?? YUCK!!!! Seriously, it tasted like a cross between paint thinner and rubbing alcohol. I did NOT taste the Mountain Dew in it- at all. I sipped on two red cups filled with pineapple juice and malibu, and followed those cups with three bottles of water. Guess who left the party with a little buzz???.... Not me!

We then made our way out to a few bars, where Mr. Top Gun and his crew imbibed in two or three Irish Car Bombs, followed by a beer each. I however, DO NOT DRINK THOSE NASTY THINGS, so I had water- again. We then walked to a karaoke bar, where all of the drunk people decided to sing very loudly. I numbed the noise by drinking three shots of Patron Silver Tequila :)  Mrs. Top Gun was happy at this point, and Mr. Top Gun was now drinking water (per my suggestion.) We ended the evening with some of the BEST grilled cheeses!! Who would have thought that Japan knew how to make some awesome grilled cheeses? And I thought they only mastered the art of sushi making...

Yeah, we are a super good looking couple :)

Love this man!

So happy!
